President Trump President Donald Trump took some heat Thursday after commenting he and his team would be having "a little fun" on a trip to Texas, where he is set to meet survivors and first responders of a mass school shooting.

As he was about to board Air Force One, Trump told reporters: "We are going to Dallas, we are going to Houston. We are going to have a little fun [Thursday]. Thank you very much."

He is also scheduled for several meeting with his supporters in the Lone Star State.

Twitter critics took notice.

"Fun?" tweeted Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action, a gun control advocacy group.

"Nothing says fun like meeting the parents of children slaughtered in a high school shooting," freelance journalist David Storey tweeted.

Ten people were killed at a shooting at a Santa Fe, Texas, high school when a gunman attacked May 18.
