A North Las Vegas teenager was able to frighten away home invaders with a rifle as he hid in a closet with his younger brother and sister,
KVVU-TV reports.
Andrew Mason, 14, and his two siblings, both 6 years old, had practiced the scenario multiple times, so when the invaders broke into their home during the day when their parents were away, Andrew grabbed his dad's cellphone and his rifle and hid in a closet with his brother and sister.

One of the home invaders saw Andrew.
"I had my gun loaded and ready to shoot, but when he saw me he just took off running," Andrew told the station.
"He's excellent. He did everything perfectly," said the boy's father, Kiewa Mason. "[He] couldn’t have done better, and he’s actually a hero."
Kiewa Mason said he believes in the right to bear arms and takes his son to a local shooting range often.
