Sen. Cruz Beats Kimmel in Charity Hoops Match

Liberal TV comedic host Jimmy Kimmel took his feud with Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, from name calling to shot calling, but it was the senator who had the last laugh Saturday night in Houston.

Cruz won 11-9, scoring a victory for their charities – Cruz's poverty-fighting Generation One Texas charity and Kimmel's Texas Children's Hospital – and conservatism against progressive media populism.

Kimmel's comments, calling Cruz a "blobfish," spurred the grudge match, but the insults to the conservative senator reportedly did not stop after losing, though.

Results of the game and an interview will be aired on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Monday night.
