Deputies in Lebanon, Tenn., are investigating a box truck playing audio similar to the RV that exploded on Christmas Day in Nashville.
“Sheriff’s deputies in Rutherford and Wilson Counties are investigating a box truck parked at a convenience store playing audio similar to what was heard before the Christmas Day explosion in Nashville,” the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.
“The driver traveled from Rutherford County into Wilson County where he was stopped by deputies and detained.”
Deputies received a call about the truck parked at Crossroads Market Hill in Walter Hill around 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
CNN reported that the driver was taken into custody and the truck was towed away after several hours.
The Christmas morning explosion caused widespread communications outages that took down police emergency systems and grounded holiday travel at the city’s airport. Authorities said they believe the blast was intentional and have identified a person of interest – Anthony Quinn Warner, 63.
Three people were injured in the explosion. Police on site heard a recorded voice warning that a “bomb would detonate in 15 minutes,” Nashville Police Chief John Drake told reporters.
