Best-Seller Returns Rumsfeld to the Spotlight

Donald Rumsfeld’s memoir "Known and Unknown" has brought him back to public view in a bigger way than any time since he left his job as defense secretary for President George W. Bush in 2006. The book debuted as No. 1 on The New York Times best-seller list last month, Politico reports.

And the promotion tour has taken Rumsfeld everywhere from "The View" to "The Late Show with David Letterman" to "The Daily Show" to "The Opie & Anthony Show."

Rumsfeld hasn’t hesitated from criticizing President Barack Obama’s Libya policy, particularly in regard to its lack of coherence and its reliance on an international coalition.

“I’ve always believed that the mission should determine the coalition,” Rumsfeld told Politico.

Instead, Obama has let the coalition — the European countries helping in the attack on Libya — determine the mission.
