The Democratic Party has turned into “the anti-police party,” Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City and President Donald Trump’s lawyer, told Fox Business on Friday.

On “Mornings with Maria” on Friday, Giuliani, reacting to Virginia’s Democratically-controlled Senate passing a law eliminating the mandatory 6-month minimum sentence for assaulting a police officer, said that he has “no idea” what the party’s goal is, but later added, “their goal is chaos.”

He said that “Their goal is the kind of thing we see in Democrat cities all throughout the country.”

Giuliani, who spoke at the Republican National Convention on Thursday, also took aim at Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, saying that “if Biden is elected, along with the Democrats who are unwilling to speak out against this anarchy, then the crime wave will intensify and spread from cities and towns to suburbs and beyond.”

He also said that former President Barack “Obama and Biden did nothing at all to quell the carnage” caused by gun violence in cities, and said, “I guess these Black lives didn’t matter to them.”
