Roseanne Barr says her namesake character will be killed off in a spinoff of her top-rated show — dying of an opioid overdose.
"Oh ya, they killed her," she said in a Sept. 13 interview on Brandon Straka's YouTube show, "#Walk Away." "They have her die of an opioid overdose."
"It wasn't enough to [fire me], they had to so cruelly insult the people who loved that family and that show," she added.
But she has accepted the unhappy ending to air on the spinoff, "The Conners," which began production last month.
"There's nothing I can do about it," she told Straka. "It's done. It's over. There's no fight left."
"The Conners" follows the top-rated 10th season of "Roseanne," which aired from 2017 to 2018 but was canceled after Barr posted a racially charged tweet about Valerie Jarrett, former senior adviser to President Barack Obama, People magazine noted.
Barr's co-star, John Goodman, hinted at the death of Barr's character during an interview with the Sunday Times of London.
"I guess [Dan will] be mopey and sad because his wife's dead," he said, revealing Barr's character will be killed off.
