Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., who crafted the compromise budget bill with Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., last week,
took to the Senate floor Wednesday, saying the bill's pension cuts for wounded military veterans were a mistake that will be fixed.
Allen West, a former Republican congressman from Florida and 22-year military veteran, wasn't buying it.
"Don't tell me that you're going to pass it in the Senate, you're going to have it signed into law, and you're going to come back and fix it," West said Wednesday on Fox News Channel's
"Your World with Neil Cavuto."
"That's a lie, and she knows it's a lie," West said.
West also wasn't happy that the Senate rejected an amendment to block tax credits for illegal aliens.
"Who are more important: illegal aliens or people who have served 20-plus years and have service disabilities?" he said.
