Many experts have pointed out that the killing of terrorist kingpin Osama bin Laden doesn’t lessen the threat of terrorism to our nation. Ordinary Americans apparently feel the same way, Politico reports.

A new Politico-George Washington University poll shows that 33 percent of Americans think the takeout of bin Laden will spark an increase in terrorism.

Meanwhile, 40 percent say the killing won’t affect the number of terrorist attacks. And only 18 percent believe terrorism will decrease either in the United States or overseas.

The survey also shows that 41 percent of Americans think President Barack Obama and former President George W. Bush deserve equal credit for capturing bin Laden.

Thirty-nine percent say Obama should receive more credit, and 12 percent believe Bush should receive more credit.
