First lady Michelle Obama helped the little girl to her feet and later gave her a big hug. Ashtyn's Navy father, John, declared her fine, The Hill noted.

The first lady was unveiling the 2013 holiday decorations, which include life-size replicas of Sunny and Bo and a 300-pound edible gingerbread White House, and had invited military families and their children to see them.

Both presidential pups were allowed to stay in the room, and behaved through the rest of the event, The Hill reported.
