Marie Osmond took to Twitter on Thursday to make "clear" that she isn't offering to perform at President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration next week – and that she never intended to participate.
"I had no intention of performing at this inauguration, no matter who won!" the "Paper Roses" and Donny and Marie duo singer declared in a tweeted statement.
"I try to stay out of politics," she added. "I'm an entertainer."
Osmond gave an interview to Yahoo Finance earlier in the week that apparently sparked talk about her offering to perform Jan. 20.
"I think when it comes to our country, we need to unite, and to not support our president I think is wrong," she told the outlet. "I think we should all support whether we're happy, or sad, or everything else. This is America."
"We should come together, and I think an inauguration should be a time to unite," she added.
Some of the acts that've publicly confirmed include former "America's Got Talent" contestant Jackie Evancho, the Rockettes and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
