Republicans in the House will begin their assault on unnecessary regulation next week, according to
The Hill.
The House Rules Committee will meet Tuesday to guide 10 House committees on how to review existing and pending regulations that inhibit hiring and economic expansion.
The resolution being considered by the Rules panel specifically asks committees to look at regulations based on 12 factors. Those factors include job creation, economic growth, access to credit, creating economic uncertainty, unfunded mandates on employers and undue cost burdens on companies. The panels also are instructed to look for regulations created without adequate transparency.
The committees reviewing regulation will be Agriculture, Education, Energy and Commerce, Financial Services, Judiciary, Natural Resources, Oversight and Government Reform, Small Business, Transportation and Infrastructure, and Ways and Means.
