Fox News Guest Says Network Perpetuates Racism

By    |   Tuesday, 23 Dec 2014 09:55 PM

Commentator Jasymne Cannick accused Fox News Channel of perpetuating racism while appearing on the network Tuesday night to discuss the issue.

"What are we doing wrong in America that’s perpetuating racism?" asked Eric Bolling, who was guest hosting "The O'Reilly Factor."

"Well, first of all, many of the shows on this very network help perpetuate the racism that exists in America, so we can start there, OK?" Cannick responded.

"How?" Bolling asked. "Don’t lob a grenade without telling me how."

"You know exactly what I’m saying, Eric," Cannick said.

"I really don't," Bolling responded, noting that several segments on that very episode had presented people representing multiple sides of the discussion.

Cannick never provided any specific instances of racism on Fox News, but added that the best way to work toward a resolution would be to look at the criminal justice and education systems and to examine the barriers that keep minorities from getting jobs.
