Ed Harris to Play John McCain in HBO's 'Game Change'

LOS ANGELES — Ed Harris has been tapped to play John McCain in HBO's "Game Change."

The film follows McCain's 2008 presidential campaign, from his controversial selection of Sarah Palin as his running mate to their ultimate defeat in the general election.

Harris joins Julianne Moore, who will portray Palin.

Based on the best-selling book of the same name by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin, the film will be directed by Jay Roach with a script by Danny Strong. The pair recently collaborated on HBO's Emmy Award-winning "Recount."
