Dr. Anthony Fauci said he hopes nobody plays him this weekend on "Saturday Night Live," which returns this weekend after a month of being off, but if he's part of a skit, he knows who he wants to play him.
"Brad Pitt, of course," the doctor, a key member of the White House coronavirus task force, joked with CNN's Alisyn Camerota after she asked him if he'd rather have Pitt or comedic actor Ben Stiller play him on the show.
"It's fitting," Camerota told Fauci, who heads the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, while he laughed at the joke.
“Alisyn, thank you for making Dr. Fauci smile,” co-anchor John Berman told Camerota. “It’s so nice to see a guy with the weight of the world on his shoulders laugh for a change. That was fantastic.”
The question followed a serious discussion with the noted doctor concerning the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and the use of antibody tests.
