President Donald Trump responded to an 8-year-old boy, Fore Putnam, who wrote asking for a new kidney for Christmas for his sick father, as reported on Fox News' "Fox & Friends."
"I have shared your letter with my staff, and they are working to see what help them can provide," President Trump wrote to Fore Putnam in a letter date March 16.
"I can tell that you are a brave young man with a big heart. I admire your determination to make sure your dad has the support and resources he needs to feel better."
Fore's original request was sent before Christmas, addressed to President Trump, Ivanka Trump, and Santa Claus.
"My dad has been sick for a long time, he has to get a kidney to live," Putnam said, reading his letter on Fox News. "And he needs to get a job again so he can play. My mom just left so if my dad gets better she might come back . . . please help."
