TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and her staff remembered Gabe Zimmerman on the slain legislative aide's 31st birthday.
A tribute to Zimmerman was posted Friday on the injured congresswoman's Facebook page.
The posting includes a link to a four-minute video montage of Zimmerman's life and says: "We are thinking of our friend and colleague Gabe Zimmerman who would have turned 31 today. Though cut far too short, we honor a life well-lived."
Zimmerman was one of six people killed Jan. 8 when a gunman opened fire at a political gathering in Tucson. Giffords and 12 others were wounded.
The popular aide had been director of community outreach for the legislator.
Giffords is recovering from a gunshot wound to the head at a Texas rehabilitation facility.
