CNN Flips New York and Boston in Storm Coverage

By    |   Friday, 03 January 2014 02:29 PM EST

The first nor'easter of 2014 not only shut down large parts of the country, it's made New York City and Boston flip places on the map, based on a CNN graphic.

During a weather update on the news network's "New Day" program Friday, the network featured a map on screen not once, but twice, that had Boston and New York trading places, reports Mediaite.

Story continues below video.

Correspondent Christine Romans went on with her story, not mentioning the image on the screen. Meanwhile, as the weather reporter talked about how the massive snowstorm and freezing temperatures are shutting down the nation's major airport hubs and smaller ones as a result, the map with the Boston and New York mixup remained on screen.

Meanwhile, CNN tweeted that Boston has been covered in 15 inches of snow:

Or did they really mean New York?
