Trump on Oscars: We Don't Have Stars Anymore — Except Me

President Donald Trump knocked the Academy Awards television broadcast, noting it was "the lowest rated Oscars in history."

"Problem is, we don’t have stars anymore – except your president," he said in a tweet. He quickly added: "Just kidding, of course."

The Oscar ratings were down more than 15 percent to an all-time low, according to early estimates. Some blamed it on the four-hour length of the show and a weak box office for the nominated films. Others pointed to an increase in politics and social issues being injected into the broadcast
