Elizabeth Warren Remains 1st in Congressional Fundraising

Tuesday, 10 July 2012 10:27 AM EDT

Massachusetts U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren has raised more money than any other candidate running for Congress, taking in more than $24.5 million for her campaign aimed at unseating incumbent Republican Scott Brown.

According to the Boston Globe, the Democrat’s latest three-month fundraising effort through June netted more than $8.6 million based on campaign finance data compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics.

The center’s data shows that Brown has done a better job at fundraising than any of the other 1,613 candidates officially running for Congress.

The Warren campaign told the Globe that June was the candidate’s most successful fundraising month to date, accounting for $3.1 million of the total raised over the past three months.

Brown, meanwhile, has not yet announced his latest fundraising totals, according to the Globe.
