Wanda Sykes flipped off an audience at Boston’s TD Garden over the weekend after being booed over Trump jokes.
The stand-up comedian was booed for calling President-elect Donald Trump a “a racist, sexist and homophobic president,” The Huffington Post noted.
“He’s just the first confirmed one, that’s it,” Sykes said, as members of the audience began booing loudly, prompting the comedian’s aggressive response.
“F*** you, mother******, f*** all of y’all,” Sykes replied.
She then pointed to different areas of the crowd, saying “F*** you, you, you.”
After the boos continued, Sykes posed a few questions to the audience to defend her lack of support for Trump.
“How can you say he’s not racist?” she asked. “‘Grab them by the p****’? How can you say he’s not sexist? How can you say he’s not homophobic?”
Despite the crowd’s reaction, Sykes finished her set. When she was booed as a “send off,” she left the audience with one more message, but this one was a nonverbal one, flipping off the people as she walked off stage, The Boston Herald noted.
Sykes was among the performers at the Comics Come Home’s 22nd annual fundraiser on Saturday night, which was created on behalf of The Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care, The HuffPost noted.
According to The Herald, Sykes was not the only comic who spoke about politics at Saturday’s event. She also wasn’t the only one to be booed, as Nick DiPaolo was booed during his set as well.
Other comedians who performed were Bill Blurr, Lenny Clarke, Robert Kelly, and Jay Larson, The Herald noted.
