Rapper T.I., also known as Tip, who said that he won't vote for Hillary Clinton because no woman could handle the responsibilities of the presidency, has now apologized for his comments.

"My comments about women running for president were unequivocally insensitive and wrong. I sincerely apologize to everyone I offended," he tweeted on Tuesday.

Time magazine reported that the rapper made his misogynistic remarks during a radio interview released earlier that day.

"Not to be sexist but, I can’t vote for the leader of the free world to be a woman," he told DJ Whoo Kid.

"Just because, every other position that exists, I think a woman could do well. But the president? It’s kind of like, I just know that women make rash decisions emotionally. They make very permanent, cemented decisions – and then later, it’s kind of like it didn’t happen, or they didn’t mean for it to happen. And I sure would hate to just set off a nuke. [Other world leaders won’t be able to negotiate] foreign policy; the world ain’t ready yet. I think you might be able to the Lochness Monster elected before you could [get a woman elected]."

In during the conversation, DJ Whoo Kid also referred to Clinton as a "big vagina to be putting in office."

Asked about Donald Trump, T.I. praised the real estate billionaire for his business acumen, but said he wouldn't vote for him.

"His racist remarks, all of his off-color statements, it makes it impossible to be, like, completely supportive of him," he said. "But just knowing what he’s done for business, for himself, if he intends to do that for America, it would be beneficial. But I can’t cast no vote for him."

As MTV pointed out, T.I. didn't seem to follow his own advice, given during the show "Entertainer's Etiquette" last year.

"Don’t let somebody throw a camera in your face and drive you into saying something that you didn’t need to be saying," he said at the time. "Don’t try to comment on something that you have no knowledge about. If they ask you about foreign policy, and if they ask you about the deficit of the country — things that are out of your realm of understanding — plead the Fifth."
