The Donald Does Boca Tea Party

A recent Wall Street Journal poll showed that real estate mogul/reality TV star Donald Trump is the top presidential choice among tea party voters. And now the Donald is making his first appearance at a tea party event – in Boca Raton, Fla., the Palm Beach Post reports.

Trump says he wasn’t surprised by his first-place finish in the poll. “My values are very similar,” he said. “They're hard-working people. They're people that don't like to be taken advantage of by other countries."

A CNN poll Tuesday of all Republican voters showed Trump tied for the lead among potential 2012 Republican presidential candidates.

As for the Boca event, organizers expect a large crowd. And Trump feels the same way. "I hear it's going to be like a monster," he said.
