The hot-button abortion issue revved up the social media sites when
Texas Gov. Rick Perry on Thursday signed the restrictive abortion law for the Lone Star State.
It wasn’t just individuals, either. Cosmopolitan magazine Tweeted:

Comedy Central couched its views, as expected, into a joke:
The legislation restricts late-term abortions and requires clinics performing abortions to meet regulations for surgical centers.
While comments from those against Perry and the abortion changes were overwhelming, a few posted their approval of what the new legislation will do.
More approval came in comments on news stories, including this one from
Stephanie on ABC News: “I completely support this law and I am pro choice. There is no reason in the world why a woman that doesn't want a child should wait until after 20 weeks to terminate. Unless a complication becomes life threatening, it is simply irresponsible and borderline cruel and inhumane to wait until after 20 weeks. And seriously, what person in their right mind would want a medical procedure done in anything less than a surgically sterile environment?????”
Controversy continued about whether the legislation will be challenged, and the
New York Times reported that Democrats and women’s rights advocates plan to take the case to court.
