Singer Steven Tyler opened Janie's House on Wednesday just outside Atlanta for abused and troubled girls, according to TMZ.

The Aerosmith frontman attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony and posed for pictures at the facility that can provide therapy and have living space for as many as 30 battered and sexually abused girls, the gossip website said.

The house, built with money from Tyler's Janie Fund, is named after Aerosmith's 1989 hit song "Janie's Got a Gun," a tune that addresses child abuse and incest in the lyrics, noted Rolling Stone magazine.

Tyler started Janie's Fund in 2015 with nonprofit partner Youth Villages to bring hope and healing to victims of neglect and abuse, the artist said, per Rolling Stone then.

"As a father and grandfather, I want to focus my energy on things that really matter and leave behind something else in this crazy world along with my music," Tyler said in a statement, per Rolling Stone. "I am starting Janie's Fund to give a voice to the millions of victims who haven't had one and encourage everyone to join me on this mission."

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer told People magazine that the fund was a way to add his voice to support those who are vulnerable.

"The one thing that bothered me the most (about 'Janie’s Got a Gun' video) was that somehow, people who had watched the video saw that the father was abusing the daughter and mom was looking on and nothing was ever said," Tyler said then. "So with hopes I could do something about that – until I met Youth Villages, I didn't think I could."

Fans showed their support for the singer's philanthropic efforts on Twitter.
