Are the Spice Girls actually planning a reunion tour that will see all five members on stage together at the same time as TMZ is reporting, Wonderwall is wondering.
Rumors about an impending reunion have been doing the rounds since last year but, while fans are likely to shrug this off as another baseless claim, TMZ citing anonymous sources said the group had met with former manager Simon Fuller last week to start planning a tour.
TMZ said sources also told it that there were plans in the pipeline for a Spice Girls world tour, with the iconic 90s pop group taking to the stage in England before heading over to the U.S.
Unlike dozens of other top performers, the Spice Girls reportedly won’t be taking on a Las Vegas residency and they are not planning to record any new music, but then again most fans will be queuing up to see the group perform their old hits s this will likely not be an issue.
Last week Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) fueled speculation about a reunion tour after she posted a photo to Instagram of herself with fellow Spice Girls Mel B (Scary spice), Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) and Melanie C (Sporty Spice).
She also briefly spoke about the group’s future, noting that there were “lots of opportunities for us, especially right now, needing a bit of girl power in the world,” NME noted.
