Palin Attends 'The Undefeated' Still Undecided

Sarah Palin was in the presidential battleground state of Iowa Tuesday, but not as a potential 2012 candidate — the former Alaska governor was there for the premier of “The Undefeated,” a movie about her life and her rise in politics. Palin told Fox News she still has not decided whether to enter the race.

Fox News’ Griff Jenkins caught up with Palin and her husband Todd as they were entering the premier and informed her a military veteran in attendance told him she needs to enter the GOP nomination fray.

“I appreciate his request and encouragement — I know what he’s talking about. He’s talking about someone who encapsulates American values and is understanding of the need to protect our Constitution and the people like our veterans,” Palin said. “It is a tough decision, a big decision to decide whether to run for office or not. I’m still contemplating — I can’t say enough about a veteran and somebody who poses a question like that coming from a veteran.”

Jenkins noted Palin’s daughter Bristol said in an interview the former Alaska governor had already made a decision. Palin said she queried her daughter as to what she had said, adding “I said you remember what we say on the fishing boat, stays on the fishing boat.”

“I’m still thinking about the decision,” Palin said. “A lot goes into such a life-changing decision. So I’m still thinking about it.”

The director of the movie was asked why premiere in Iowa, which is where the first presidential caucus will be held in seven months.

“We looked at over 100 locations to have something that was appropriate to have ‘The Undefeated,’ the tenacity, grit, and fortitude to the American frontier,” Stephen K. Bannon said. “It has been restored and it fits naturally with the film.

“This film transcends politics — it is about how someone who is totally obscure, how someone rises and confronts the modern world and make changes,” he said. “For people it’s an inspirational film.”
