New Romney Ad Rips Obamacare as Tax on Middle Class

By    |   Wednesday, 22 August 2012 09:40 AM EDT

The Romney campaign has released a new video ad, “Nothing’s Free,” blasting the healthcare reform law as nothing more than a tax on the middle class.

"Some think Obamacare is the same as free healthcare, but nothing is free," the ad’s narrator states. "Obama is raiding $716 billion from Medicare, changing the program forever, taxing wheelchairs and pacemakers, raising taxes on families making less than $120,000. Free healthcare comes at a very high price.”

In contrast, “the Romney Ryan plan will restore Medicare funding and protect and strengthen the program for the next generation,” the narrator says.
