Arizona Gov. Brewer Endorses Romney in Primary

Gov. Jan Brewer endorsed Mitt Romney in Arizona's Republican presidential primary on Tuesday.

Speaking on NBC's Meet the Press, Brewer said the former Massachusetts governor is "the man that can carry the day."

"He handles himself very very well," she said. "But more than that, he has that pro-business background."

Brewer's endorsement follows other prominent voices in the state who have backed Romney. The Arizona Republic, a large newspaper, and Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., have also endorsed Romney.

"I think Mitt is by far the person who can go in and win,” Brewer said.

The endorsement comes four days after Romney and three other major Republicans appeared in a debate in Mesa on Wednesday. Brewer had said she wanted to hear what the candidates said during that event before making up her mind.
