A Washington state man was arrested on Sunday after teaching his pitbull how to drive. He and his canine pal could have gone undetected, but the (human) driver allegedly struck two vehicles at the Boeing Access Road exit in South Seattle, according to KOMO.
The man (and his dog!) fled the scene but was soon spotted and a high-speed chase ensued as the vehicle attempted to lose the Washington State Patrol troopers pursuing it.
The man, 51, led cops on a chase where speeds reached over 100 mph as he veered off the freeway and onto a surface road. When authorities finally pulled him over, they found the dog in the front seat.
When questioned, the man told troopers that he was teaching his pitbull how to drive.
The man was arrested and is now facing charges of DUI, reckless driving, hit-and-run and felony eluding, Komo noted.
