Sarah Palin’s political action committee had a relatively sleepy winter, but this spring nearly doubled its fundraising haul from $388,000 to $780,000 — totaling over $1 million for 2012 so far.
After appearing to lose some of her influence after declining a run for the presidency, the former Republican vice presidential candidate seems to have regained momentum. She now has roughly $1.1 million cash on hand, according to a Federal Election Commission filed Friday,
Politico reported.
Over the last three months, Palin contributed $5,000 to each of three GOP Senate hopefuls: Richard Mourdock in Indiana; Deb Fischer in Nebraska, and Ted Cruz who is fightin a primary in Texas.
Palin also spent big on direct mail and postage to the tune of $360,000, and paid $115,000 for fundraising consultants, speechwriters, compliance, research, and logistics.
