Rep. Phil Gingrey, R-Ga., exited the room during a talk by President Barack Obama at the annual National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C., Thursday.
“He was glad that the president attended, but he felt that there were 364 days in a year to give a speech on your policies or campaign rhetoric,” Gingrey spokeswoman Jen Talaber told
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
She said Gingrey was impressed by the event’s keynote speaker, conservative author Eric Metaxes, a supporter of GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum.
