Norman, the scooter-driving dog, is already a star on YouTube, but now the French sheep dog is trying to
set a Guinness World Record for riding a scooter solo, USA Today reports.
Norman, from Vancouver, Wash.,
already has his own website, which announces, “Guess what! I have been contacted by Guinness to set a record as the fastest scooter riding dog. I will make the attempt in Marietta, GA at All Tournament Players Park…on July 12, 2013 between 7 am – 9 am.”
The event will raise money for Road Trip Home, a group that rescues dogs from shelters, the website said.

It’s just the latest stunt for Norman, who has been performing outlandish tricks for most of his three years,
owner Karen Cobb told The Huffington Post.
YouTube videos show Norman riding not only a scooter, but also a bicycle — by himself. And, he can open the fridge and wash dishes unassisted.
Needless to say, he’s also an ace on the skateboard.
One of Norman’s bike-riding videos has been viewed more than 2 million times, and so has a scooter video.
Norman can count “The Late Show with David Letterman” and “Good Morning America” among his television appearances, The Huffington Post reported.
Still, the Guinness record will be a challenge. The dog will have to ride for 98 feet on his own in less than 30 seconds to set the record, USA Today reports.
Dog owner Cobb, who has been training dogs for almost 20 years, said in a Huffington Post video that while it’s true that Norman took to the bike and the scooter right away, other dogs could learn to ride them too.
“Most could, if they didn’t have any physical limitations,” she told the Huffington Post.
