Michelle Bozeman, a waitress in Washington state, received a $3,000 tip after serving a couple Sunday and, after being sure it wasn't a mistake, she shared some of her good fortune with her coworkers.

Michelle Bozeman, a grandmother of seven, was working at the Ramblin' Rib Eye in Napavine, Washington, south of Tacoma, and said she couldn't believe her eyes when she saw the whopping tip from the anonymous customer on the credit card receipt, KING-TV reported.

"It just restored my faith in humanity, that's for sure," said Bozeman, who has been waitressing for some 20 years. As a single mother, she's raised three children while waiting on tables.

Bozeman said she thought the tip was a mistake until she saw the message left for her by the couple.

"Thanks for smiling. You work hard and the country is in a bad place," the note stated, KING-TV said. "Please do something good for another human being. Enjoy. Have credit card company call if they question the tip."

The credit card was accepted just fine, allowing Bozeman to share some of the money with her fellow workers. She said she plans to do some work around her home and may even take a trip overseas.

"I’ve always wanted to go to Ireland," Bozeman told the television station. "I'll have a Guinness for them."

Bozeman's tip comes after a waitress in Roland, Oklahoma received a $2,000 tip from a Mississippi truck driver on Mother's Day, KFSM-TV reported.

Brenda Pearson corrected an order originally made by driver David Platt, and he gifted her with a $1,000 tip, the television station said. The truck driver later returned for pie and was served by Pearson again. He left another $1,000 tip.

"It was late and there wasn't really anybody around and so I got talking to her a little bit," Platt told the television station. "We talked about the Lord and about her life and her children. I got the impression that she was having a hard time of it, so I thought I'd just help her out a little bit."

Pearson said the Platt's generosity was a blessing.

"I have two children at home," Pearson told KFSM-TV. "I've been a stay-at-home mom for a couple of years. It will help us get caught up on the move and it was just God-sent."
