Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's wedding could feature the Spice Girls after Mel B confirmed on the talk show "The Real" that all five have been invited to the ceremony on May 19.
Mel B, whose real name is Melanie Brown and better known as Scary Spice in the all-girls band, nodded her head affirmatively on the talk show when asked if she was going to the wedding and then clarified that all five Spice Girls had been invited to the event, the BBC News wrote.
As the talk show's hosts continued to pry, asking about the description of the invitation and if Brown could take them as a guest, the Spice Girl appeared to feel regret about talking, saying "Why am I so honest?"
As Brown claimed that she's "not saying anymore," the host continued to push for more information. When she declined to answer a question if the Spice Girls will be performing at the reception, the hosts exploded as the studio audience cheered.
"I need to go, I'm going to get fired," Brown told the hosts.
Brown and her bandmates Victoria Beckham, Geri Horner, Emma Bunton and Melanie Chisholm recently confirmed they are planning to work on new projects after meeting for the first time since 2012, the BBC News wrote.
"We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of the Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations," the group said in a statement recently, per the BBC News.
Prince Harry first met the group when he was 13 shortly after the death of his mother Princess Diana, The Telegraph wrote. Harry, now 33, will marry Markle, 36, at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, per the BBC News.
The Telegraph wrote that other artists have been mentioned in connection with the royal wedding and reception, including Elton John, Ed Sheeran, Stormzy, and Sophie Ellis Bextor.
