The Mega Millions jackpot jumped to $586 million Monday — the second-largest prize in its history — after there were no winning tickets sold for Friday night's drawing.
The winning numbers pulled Friday for the $425 million jackpot were 19, 24, 26, 27, 70, with a
Mega ball of 12, according to the Mega Millions website. It was the 21st straight drawing that failed to produce a winner, sending the jackpot soaring even higher.

The drawing for the $586 million jackpot (which has a $316 million cash payout option) will be Tuesday. The prize would rank as the
fourth largest in U.S. lottery history, USA Today reported. The record $656 million jackpot was drawn in March 2012 and split between three winners.
The chance of holding a winning, six-number ticket is about 1 in 259 million, according to the Mega Millions website. Here is a

- Chances of dying from a bee sting: 1 in 6.1 million.
- Chance you will die from being struck by lightning: 1 in 3 million.
