Luke Bigham, the actor who played the younger version of Will Ferrell’s character Ricky Bobby in “Talladega Nights,” has been arrested for alleged domestic violence against his mother.
The Birmingham News reported Bigham, 20, is accused of pushing his mother, Lorrie Crumley, 42, down the stairs in her Trussville, Alabama, home on July 8.

When police arrived at the scene, Crumley reportedly said she was in pain from the attack, but refused medical attention. It’s unknown what led to the apparent altercation.
A court date is set for Friday if Bigham hasn’t yet been released on a bond set at $1,000 for the misdemeanor charge of third-degree domestic violence harassment.
Bigham was arrested in June on charges of reckless driving after allegedly driving at speeds of over 80 mph in a 35 mph zone. He injured himself and two others in a five-car accident and was the only person who was hospitalized. He then turned himself in to the Trussville City Jail, where he was later released on a $1,000 bond. Trussville is near Birmingham.
Surveillance video obtained by WBMA-TV shows one of the vehicles in the crash, a black Lexus, skidding out of control.
Bigham played the 10-year-old version of Ricky Bobby in “Talladega Nights: The Legend of Ricky Bobby,” which was released in 2006.
Bigham’s last work was in 2009 for the HBO Comedy, “Eastbound and Down.”
Bigham isn't the only young actor who's faced this type of charge. Actress Emma Roberts, 23, daughter of actor Eric Roberts and niece to actress Julia Roberts, was
arrested a year ago in Canada on domestic violence charges following a fight with her boyfriend, actor Evan Peters.
