Liza Minnelli powered through a performance at a charity event Monday night despite breaking her wrist in three places a day earlier.
The veteran entertainer, 67, went against doctor's orders to perform alongside her half-sister Lorna Luft at a benefit in New York City
before returning to the hospital for treatment, E! Online reported.

Minnelli reportedly broke her wrist during rehearsals at home Sunday.
Luft, 60, hosted the event at the Birdland jazz club to benefit The Actors Fund's Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative and Tower Cancer Research Foundation's Dr. Philomena McAndrew Fund. Luft is currently battling breast cancer.
"Nothing was going to stop me from coming here tonight," Minnelli said before taking the stage, according to E! Online. "Lorna asked me to be here and I wouldn't let her down."
Luft, who, like Minnelli, is the daughter of Judy Garland, was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.
"Your attitude has so much to do with your recovery, because
it's really easy to curl up in a ball, and stay in bed," she told Fox News in August. "The hard part is saying I'm not going to do this and I'm going to fight this, I'm going to make fun of it, and I'm going to laugh, I'm going to have a sense of humor... So when you are sick, and you really need that. It's amazing how your attitude really will lead to your recovery."
The performance marked the sisters' first time on stage together in 20 years.
