Lindsay Lohan had a "come to The Donald moment" on Independence Day perhaps, after seeing how the president stepped up to help a terminal British baby, and the actress' support for Trump and his family caught the eyes of many on social media.
Lohan defended Trump while replying to a comment on a Breitbart article about the president's willingness to help Charlie Gard, a baby in the United Kingdom whose parents can no longer able to keep him on life support for financial reasons, according to The Wrap.
Lohan then went on to support Trump's family in a following tweet.
The "Mean Girl" was quickly blasted for her posts supporting Trump.
Many, though, came to Lohan's defense.
Variety reported last month that Lohan had joined the cast of "Sick Note," the second-season British comedy that also stars "Harry Potter's" Rupert Grint and former "Miami Vice" star Don Johnson.
