Conservative radio talk-show host Rush Limbaugh is writing an illustrated history book for young readers, publisher Threshold Editions said on Thursday.
The book will be entitled, "
Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims: Time-Travel Adventures with Exceptional Americans."
It will follow the adventures of Rush Revere, a substitute middle-school history teacher — and his talking, time-travel-capable horse, Liberty — as they go back in time and meet the Pilgrims aboard the Mayflower.
Rush Revere is a popular character familiar to Limbaugh’s more than 20 million daily radio listeners.
The book is scheduled for publication on Oct. 29. Threshold Editions is an imprint of Simon & Schuster.
Limbaugh's two other books —
"The Way Things Ought to Be" (1992) and
"See I Told You So" (1993) — have sold a total of 7.5 million printed copies. They were published by Pocket Books.
