US Needs 'Grand Dose of Conservatism,' Rush Says

By    |   Thursday, 03 November 2011 01:00 PM EDT

A decade of conservative politics and policies will cure the country of its economic malaise, Rush Limbaugh said on his radio show Thursday.

News the unemployment rate is projected to stand at 8.6 percent by the end of 2012 is “simply unacceptable,” Limbaugh said.

“I am really fed up with the notion that only government can come up with proactive things to fix this, and that they’re out of bullets,” he said. “There’s things we could do overnight.”

First, Congress should repeal Obamacare — then, voters should “make a massive public display of getting rid of a bunch of constraining regulations,” Limbaugh said.

“It doesn’t have to be this way,” he said. “That’s what’s so silly about all this. This country just needs a grand dose of conservatism . . . for about 10 years — and Katy bar the doors.”
