Kate Moss will be celebrating her 40th birthday by stripping for Playboy in the upcoming January issue – the magazine's 60th anniversary edition.
Having modeled for the likes of Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Calvin Klein, and Chanel, among other fashion lines over her 25 year career, Moss will go full-frontal nude as the magazine's centerfold.

The news was apparently broken by Playboy founder Hugh Hefner's son, Cooper Hefner, who made the announcement on Twitter on Tuesday.
Playboy’s editorial director, Jimmy Jellinek, subsequently confirmed what Hefner wrote in an interview with
The Los Angeles Times.
"This is a massive global brand," Jellinek said of Playboy to the Times. "You need a global icon in order to celebrate that — that was the impetus. You’re talking about the face of Burberry, the biggest supermodel in the world on the cover of Playboy. She’s the perfect partner for us to help launch the next 60 years."
When asked why Moss had been approached by the magazine for its 60th anniversary edition, founder Hugh Hefner told the LA Times, "She’s a worldwide celebrity and iconic and crosses the boundaries from sexual imagery to upscale modeling. ... It’s a natural for us."
The British model, known for her emaciated physique, was often linked with "the 'heroin chic' look in the '90s and initially pilloried in the tabloids as a 'waif model' thanks to her androgynous body and gamine look," the Los Angeles Times wrote.
She will reportedly appear on the magazine's cover in January dressed in a Playboy bunny outfit wearing French cuffs and silk stockings.
This isn't the first time Moss has posed nude in a photo shoot,
notes MSN.com.
In the
December 2012 issue of Vanity Fair, Moss discussed prior photo shoots in which she bore her chest, telling the magazine that she had "never felt very comfortable about it," adding, "I hated my boobs! Because I was flat-chested. And I had a big mole on one."
