Johnny Manziel was hospitalized Monday night after a reaction to a prescription medication that had recently been adjusted.

Manziel was taken to a hospital in Humble, Texas, where he was attending a music festival with friends and had played a golf tournament earlier in the day, TMZ reported.

“It seemed like he had a reaction to an adjustment in his prescription. He’s fine and headed home,” Denise Michaels, Manziel’s rep, said, according to TMZ.

Manziel said in February that he had bipolar disorder, and he tweeted Tuesday that an increase in his Lithium dose had caused the reaction. Manziel also thanked everyone for their concern and kind messages.

Manziel has been trying to work his way back into the NFL after being drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 2014 and released in 2016. His partying ways and lackluster performance led to his being released, and he is currently a free agent playing in the Spring League, where he has so far been impressing scouts and team officials.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the Canadian Football League currently have rights to negotiate with him as well, Sports Illustrated reported.
