Actress Jiah Khan was found dead of an apparent suicide in her Mumbai apartment late Monday, rocking the Bollywood film industry where she once starred. She was 25.
Khan's mother reportedly found the actress, whose real name is Nafisa Khan, hanged in her apartment.
Police said her death is not being treated as suspicious.

Khan was born in New York and grew up in London. She later moved to Mumbai to pursue a film career. She got her start in 2007's "Nishabd" alongside Bollywood veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan. Her last film role was in the 2010 comedy "Housefull," in which she played a supporting role.
No suicide note was found, according to the BBC, but filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma shed some light about Khan's recent struggles in a series of telling tweets.
News of Khan's death shocked the Bollywood film industry, with actors, directors, and choreographers speaking out on Twitter.
