A helicopter carrying Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner ran into engine failure last week, forcing the aircraft to return to the airport.
President Donald Trump's daughter and her husband were flying in a two-engine helicopter from Washington to New York when one of the engines failed, two law enforcement sources told CNN.
Although it is not known why the couple was flying in a helicopter owned by the Trump Organization and not a plane, the aircraft made a safe return to Ronald Reagan National Airport where, after disembarking, they boarded a commercial flight.
Ivanka Trump and Gov. Kim Reynolds are scheduled to travel to Iowa in a bid to promote workforce development on Monday, the Daily Mail reported.
As part of her trip, the president's daughter will be visiting the Waukee Innovation and Learning Center to promote the Trump administration's infrastructure plan to Waukee.
