Hilary Duff Announces Pregnancy

Hilary Duff and husband Matthew Koma are expecting their second child together and could not be happier with their expanding family. The couple, who share daughter Banks Violet Bair, announced the news in an Instagram post in which Koma embraces Duff, his hand gently holding her baby bump. 

"We are growing!!! Mostly me," The "Lizzie McGuire" star captioned the post. Duff is also mom to eight-year-old son Luca Cruz from her previous marriage to Mike Comrie. 

Duff and Koma welcomed their first daughter into the world in 2018. 

"Banks Violet Bair this little bit has fully stolen our hearts! She joined our world at home on Thursday afternoon and is absolute magic," Duff wrote in an Instagram post that showed the pop icon and her husband embracing their newborn.  

Since then, Duff has regularly posted photos of Banks Violet Bair and Cruz together and, although brother and sister are close, it took Cruz a while to adjust to the idea of having a sibling, Duff revealed in an interview with PureWow earlier this year. 

"It was just he and I for so long that he was like, 'Why? Why, Mom? Why would you do this? I really just love the way it is,'" she recalled. "And it wasn’t bratty, it was just so sad."   

Seeing little Banks Violet Bair soon changed his mind.  

"He came in after I had her. I was just holding her, and the look on his face was an absolute shock," Duff said. "He just said, 'That’s my sister!' And he had to sneeze, so he ran out of the room and was like, 'I’ll be right back.' He let out this huge sneeze in the hallway and said, 'I had to sneeze and I knew I couldn’t do it in here near her.'"
