Harry Connick Jr. and his family are putting their Connecticut farmhouse on the market because they're ready to "try something new," the actor told The Wall Street Journal.
The listing, which will be handled by April + Kelly at William Raveis Real Estate, boasts seven bedrooms, six and a half bathrooms, and a price tag of $7.5 million.
Connick and his wife Jill purchased the 4.61-acre former dairy farm in 1998 for $1.54 million and spent two years renovating the property, according to WSJ.
"The living room has a roughly 25-foot-high ceiling and a granite fireplace surround the Connicks made from a set of steps that once led to a stream on the property," the newspaper noted.
Located in New Canaan, about 50 miles from New York City, the home also features a heated swimming pool, a pool house, and a barn that was converted to a gym.
"When the girls were younger we had some barn parties out there,” Connick, who raised his three daughters there, told WSJ.
As lovers of design and architecture, Connick — the singer, actor, and former "American Idol" judge-turned-daytime host — and his wife are planning to take on a new project.
