Harrison Ford will not be fined or lose his pilot’s license over an incident in which he landed on a taxiway rather than a landing strip, flying over and nearly missing an American Airlines 737 waiting to take off.

The "Star Wars" actor was piloting his single-engine Aviat Husky on Feb. 13 at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California, when he accidentally landed on Taxiway C instead of runway 20-Left, according to NBC News. He passed directly over an American Airlines 737 with 110 passengers that was getting ready to take off.

When he was on the ground, he asked radio control, "Was that airliner meant to be underneath me?" and was notified that he had landed on Taxiway C instead of the runway. Ford was embarrassed, and sources told NBC that he was very apologetic about the incident.

Ford met with FAA investigators to discuss the mishap and the FAA later closed the investigation without fining Ford, requiring him to get any remedial training, or suspending his license, NBC reported. The FAA does not comment on investigations involving individual pilots.

Ford’s lawyer released a statement about the outcome of the investigation, the Guardian reported. Ford has had a pilot’s license for more than 20 years and has a collection of vintage aircraft. He was injured in 2015 when one of his vintage aircraft crashed onto a golf course, but managed to avoid populated areas in that incident.

Some on Twitter made light of the news about the outcome of Ford’s mishap.
