Scores of entrepreneurs will compete for the first-ever American Dream Award at the 2015 FreedomFest conference in Las Vegas, where a star-studded panel of judges will award a "winner take all" cash prize of $50,000.
Similar to the hit show "Shark Tank," prominent business leaders Steve Forbes, John Mackey, Peter Thiel, and Donald Smith have been invited to evaluate the business plans of four finalists who will have advanced through the competition by attendee votes cast on the FreedomFest mobile app.
The competition, open for registration at
FreedomFestCashVault.com, will be just one of several exciting events happening among the "World's Largest Gathering of Free Minds" July 8-11.
"We're taking FreedomFest to a whole new level, beginning with our Dream Debate of the Century, pitting Paul Krugman, the #1 Keynesian and New York Times columnist against Steve Moore, the #1 Supply-Sider and Wall Street Journal columnist," wrote producer Mark Skousen in a recent announcement.
"We're expecting a record crowd and major media coverage for this historic confrontation."
Other prominent personalities scheduled to speak are filmmaker Dinesh D'Souza, author Charles Murray, Reason magazine co-founder Robert Poole, Jr., and Americans for Tax Reform president Grover Norquist.
A mock trial aiming to prosecute the Federal Reserve will also be held, along with entertainment provided by Rich Little, the world's top impressionist, and the Pink Flamingos Rock 'n Roll Band.
