Romney Says NH Victory Will Push Him Forward

Tuesday, 10 January 2012 08:44 PM EST

MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — Mitt Romney says he's made history with his victory in the New Hampshire presidential primary and is focusing on President Barack Obama.

Romney won a convincing first-place finish in the GOP primary Tuesday night, just a week after a narrow victory in Iowa's Republican caucuses.

Romney is largely ignoring his GOP rivals, whom he referred to as "desperate." Focusing on Obama, Romney says the president came to New Hampshire four years ago promising hope and change but is now a failed president.

Romney says America's future is better and brighter than today's troubled times and that he is the candidate to lead an American recovery.
